Our farm visiting hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 11:am to 6:00pm. We are generally closed to visitors on Monday and Tuesday as the farrier and vet are here on those two days to maintain the health and quality of our herd. Visits are by appointment only to ensure someone will be able to meet, greet, and assist you. We want you to make the most out of your time here!
Directions to the farm:
Coming from Michigan.......
I-94 to US-23 South towards Toledo, Ohio. Exit 1 -Sterns Road...go West off of the ramp. Sterns Rd to Countyline Road. Turn RIGHT onto Countyline Road. Go 1/3 mile and farm will be on the LEFT side of Countyline Road. MAPQUEST will get you to Sterns Road and US-23.
We are also 55 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport and 35 minutes from Toledo Express Airport. If you are coming to try out a horse for purchase, we can put you up in our farm house and thus there will be no hotel bill. We only ask that you make reservations ahead of time to ensure a room is available. Regular hotel rooms are available three miles from the farm in the quaint city of Sylvania, Ohio at Wingate Inn and Suites.
Restaurants and stores are all walking distance from the Wingate. Downtown Toledo, Ohio and the restaurant waterfront and Toledo's famous Museum of Art are all 20 minutes by expressway. The University of Michigan and Ann Arbor are 35 minutes away. Cleveland is 2.5 hours away. Chicago is 4.5 hours away.
Employment Opportunity:
Groom - to assist two trainers in grooming at home and at shows. Must be able to handle foals and stallions.
Hunter/jumper/dressage trainer/rider: To ride and show in those disciplines PLUS help break out young horses. Again, must be able to travel to shows throughout the Show year.
